Pre Vacation Jitters resulted in a Color Coded Closet: Procrastination at its Finest

Up until today, I wasn’t too excited to leave my friends, boyfriend, and home, to go on vacation, even if it was only for a month. For some reason I was almost dreading it. I was hoping the day would be pushed back, that we suddenly decided that it was too hot to go this year,

I felt like I had a lot of unfinished business here. There are summer classes I have to take for my major, forms I have to fill out, deadlines to meet: so much has to be done and there’s absolutely no time to do it.

It wasn’t until today morning where I woke up and I went into my closet to find something to wear. Do you ever have those moments where you look into your closet and there is absolutely nothing for you to wear?

I had one of those moments today morning. I decided enough was enough. My to do list was not getting shorter, so it’s about time I start. Which I proceeded to then take out every article of clothing in my closet and throw it on my bed. There were four piles. A give away pile, A “doesn’t fit me but I want to keep so I’ll just pack it away” pile, A keep pile, and a suitcase where I packed all of my clothes.

It was a long three hours but man do I feel productive. I now have a suitcase with all my clothes, jewelry, and accessories for the trip, and a giant cardboard box to give away. I then proceeded to re-color code all of the clothes in my closet and separate them by occasion. I didn’t realize how organization obsessed I was until I looked in my closet.

I didn’t quite get other stuff on my list done quite yet, but I did talk to a lot of my friends. I was able to catch up with some old pals over coffee and dinner, which is something I wanted to do before they all headed back to college in the fall.

A month without all of these people will be hard, but I’m hoping that I’m having too much fun to miss them 😉

See you soon lovelies!

  1. I still remember being astonished by your jewelry organization skills the first time I went to your house and I was like “not like all my necklaces are in a giant tangle ball of doom or anything HEH.”
